A historic bronze statue by Cyrus Dallin(1 861-1944) stands near the Sarcophagus. It was erected in 1921 in honor of Massasoit, sachem of the Wampanoags, whose friendship was an important factor in the survival and development of the Pilgrim Colony.

ArtsPlymouth.com is a local online arts calendar brought to you by the Plymouth Cultural Council, and dedicated to serving both the general public, as well as, local businesses and organizations that offer art related news and happenings specifically for the Plymouth, MA community. We offer a public calendar that anyone can post art news or events to. Click on the calendar and then click on add event  to post your event. Events will be listed as private until approved. Once approved, they will be posted as public and published.
